Simap is a simple MODIS and AIRS mapper. It is an IDL based script that is designed to read and map MODIS and AIRS level 1B (L1B) and level 2 (L2 ) swath products. The main intention is to have a non-interactive, command-line-executed tool, that can generate various maps of the above products. The resulting maps are scaled to physical units (radiances, concentrations, brightness temperatures, etc.) and are saved in binary files. At the same time, image files are also saved and their type depends on the task performed.
