Contents of TRMM and Other Data Precipitation Product 3B43


This document provides basic information on 3B43, TRMM and Other Data Precipitation Product. The TRMM Multi-Satellite Precipitation Analysis (TMPA; computed at monthly intervals as 3B-43) combines the estimates generated by the TRMM and other satellites product (3B-42) and the CAMS global gridded rain gauge data, produced by NOAA's Climate Prediction Center and/or the global rain gauge product produced by the Global Precipitation Climatology Center (GPCC). The output is rainfall for 0.25x0.25 degree grid boxes for each month. For more details of the algorithm, go to
