Data from the TOVS Pathfinder processing is available in two formats depending upon the needs of the user. The Pathfinder level 3 master files are stored asHDF files in the DAAC's nearline jukebox. These contain detailed information about the output including gridding statistics and auxiliary quality and satellite parameter information. They are designed for the intermediate to expert user of the data. The other format used is a simple binary format containing no headers or trailers, designed for interdisciplinary and non-expert users of the data. They are available for 5-day periods on anonymous ftp, and for monthly periods as part of the DAAC Interdisciplinary Data Collection on anonymous ftp. No gridding statistics are included with these files.
