Sensible heat flux is the process where heat energy is transferred from the Earth’s surface to the atmosphere by conduction and convection. The heat energy then can move horizontally by atmospheric circulation. Sensible heat flux can be expressed by the amount of heat transmitted per unit of area per unit of time.
