warn_icon.gif IMPORTANT MESSAGE Apr 20, 2015    The NASA GES DISC will be replacing all individual Giovanni “data portals”...

The new and faster Giovanni 4 ( with expanded capabilities, such as shapefile support and seasonal analysis.  We encourage Giovanni users to become acquainted with the new Giovanni system and provide feedback to help us improve Giovanni.

Please note that most of the data in Giovanni can be obtained directly via the GES DISC search engine (Mirador), Simple Subset Wizard (SSW), and OPeNDAP which provide fast and direct access to the data sets.

The GES DISC also provides a growing collection of data "recipes" for using the data in their original native file formats, as well as converting data into alternate formats when necessary, for use within tools and applications, such as GIS and Google Earth.
