Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) Version 7 data have been released, and are now available through the data access methods provided by the NASA Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC). Users can download the Version 7 data through Mirador (http://mirador.gsfc.nasa.gov/
), the GES DISC's simple Google-based search-and-access Web interface, with multiple services (e.g., keyword search, data format conversion, and spatial subsetting). In addition, several Version 7 Level-3 products (3A12, 3A25
) are available through Giovanni (http://gdata1.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/daac-bin/G3/gui.cgi?instance_id=TRMM_Monthly
), enabling users to quickly search, subset, analyze, and display specific data sets of interest.
Production of all 3B4X products (3B42, 3B43) will be delayed as algorithm scientists work on new versions that include other inputs (SSMI, etc.), as well as integrate improved rain gauge input. We will announce their availability as soon as the products are received at the GES DISC.
Documentation (http://disc.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/precipitation/documentation) and FAQ (http://disc.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/additional/faq/precipitation_faq.html) are available to assist TRMM data users.
