A new Giovanni instance supporting A-Train with CloudSat and MODIS Aqua data along the CloudSat track is now operational using Giovanni V3.
The GES Data and Information Services Center (DISC) is pleased to announce the initial release of Giovanni for A-Train. This newest Giovanni instance is a Web-based graphics utility that displays co-located A-Train Data Depot (ATDD) data sets. This utility uses the latest version of Giovanni (v3) developed at the GES DISC to display CloudSat Level 1B profile data together with Aqua MODIS temperature and humidity profiles which have been co-located with the CloudSat satellite's ground track location. CloudSat data is provided to us on an operational basis by the Data Processing Center(DPC) group of the CloudSat CIRA experimental team and our Aqua MODIS data is a pre-subsetted swath of the MODIS Level 2 profile product MYD07 provided by the GSFC MODAPS processing group. Pre-subsetted MODIS data may be down loaded from the A-Train Data Depot.
