GOME Level 3 Ozone 1-Day Global Interpolation Data have been added to the DAAC archive. This data consists of daily, interpolated, global coverage of total ozone integrated over the depth of the atmosphere from January 1996 through present (1995 data will be made available after this data set has been reprocessed). Currently, available 1996 and 1997 data are in HDF format, and GIF browse images are available. The GOME instrument has been operated on the European Space Agency's satellite ERS-2 since April 1995 and its data are unique in that they represent the only source of satellite derived global total ozone measurements during the period when there were no TOMS data (July 1995 to July 1996). ERS-2 GOME data are mirrored at the Goddard DAAC courtesy of the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD/DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen Germany. For problems concerning the data please send e-mail to helpdesk@dfd.dlr.de . Please visit the GES DISC Mirador Search Engine and use the product names to search for the data.
