Researchers wishing to access L1 or L2 (swath) AIRS data for a particular area should consider using the Mirador search tool (http://mirador.gsfc.nasa.gov) to do a spatial-temporal search.
 
To conduct a search with Mirador:
1.  Type the keyword (for example, “AIRX2RET” for AIRS level 2 standard data sets), time span, and location as shown in the first figure below, then click the “Search GES-DISC” button.

2. The next figure shows data corresponding to the search criteria.

3. Clicking  “View Files” lists all the available data, as shown in the third figure.

4. There is a link to the OpeNDAP server for each file listed on this result page. Clicking the “OPeNDAP” link accesses the data file on the OpenDAP server, as shown below.   The “Data URL” address is what a user needs to copy and paste when accessing the data from user tools like IDV, Panoply, or GrADs.
