Advance Notice--A-Train Yearly Inclination Maneuver Schedule

Satellites in the Earth Science Afternoon Constellation ("A-Train") will perform yearly coordinated inclination maneuvers late February - April 2010

Advance Notice--A-Train Yearly Inclination Maneuver Schedule

The satellites in the Earth Science Afternoon Constellation (A-Train) will be performing their yearly coordinated set of inclination maneuvers beginning March 9 through March 31, 2010.  Exact dates for the maneuvers for each of the satellites are currently being finalized.

Note: The current A-Train consists of: Aqua, CloudSat, CALIPSO, and Aura. PARASOL exited the A-Train orbit on Dec 2, 2009 (it is currently 3.9 km below the A-Train orbit), and will not be performing inclination maneuvers.

If you are conducting any special observations or field campaigns for which you will need data from any of the A-Train instruments during the inclination maneuver period, please email: angelita.c.kelly@nasa.gov; cc: angiekel@msn.com, and provide information – such as dates and times – for critical data collection periods.  If possible, we would like to minimize the impact of the maneuvers on any special observations or field campaigns.
