P3 Flight Tracks P3 Flightlines

The NASA P-3 aircraft, operated by NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, participated in the SGP97 experiment from June 18 to July 18, 1997. All P-3 flights were conducted at the same altitude (approximately 7 km) avoiding the need to re-calibrate the radiometers for different thermal environments. The same flights were conducted daily and were plotted to fly directly over the critical sampling sites.
