The NASA P-3 aircraft, operated by NASA's Wallops Flight Facility,
participated in the SGP97 experiment from June 18 to July 18, 1997. All P-3
flights were conducted at the same altitude (approximately 7 km) avoiding the
need to re-calibrate the radiometers for different thermal environments. The
same flights were conducted daily and were plotted to fly directly over the
critical sampling sites.
