Bromine monoxide(BrO) enters the atmosphere as a result of both natural and anthropogenic activities. In the atmosphere BrO is produced from the destruction of Methyl Bromide (both natural and anthropogenic in origin) The chemical reaction involving BrO and Chlorine dioxide (OClO) result in the depletion of ozone in the stratosphere.
