From PPS Helpdesk: There will be a delay in the production of all 3B4X products after the conclusion of the previous TRMM product version 6 which ended in June 2011.
The responsible algorithm scientists are working on new versions for the other inputs (SSMI, etc.) that make up these level 3 products, as well as integrating improved rain gauge input; therefore these products may not be available for quite some time (months after the V7 start).
Once the 3B4X products are produced again, I was informed that these will now be available late the next month instead of the usual 2 or more weeks that is customary due to the collection of more input sources that will serve to increase the accuracy of the 3B4X products.
