| Function | Description |
|---|---|
| Lat/Lon Map, Time-averaged: | This function provides 2D map of the selected parameter for a selected lat/lon box at a selected single pressure level. |
| Parameter vs. Pressure (Vertical Profile): | This function provides vertical profile plot of the selected parameter at a selected lat/lon point. If a lat/lon box is selected instead of a single lat/lon point, the middle point of the box will be used in the plot. |
| Lat vs. Pressure (Meridional Vertical Cross-section): | This function provides Latitude vs Pressure cross section plot of the selected parameter. If a longitude range is selected instead of a single longitude point, the average on longitude is performed. |
| Lon vs. Pressure (Zonal Vertical Cross-section): | This function provides Longitude vs Pressure cross section plot of the selected parameter. If a latitude range is selected instead of a single latitude point, the average on latitude is performed. |
| Time Series, Area-averaged: | This function provides an line plot. The daily value of the data product, averaged over the entire specified area of interest, is plotted as a function of time for any specified time interval. Pixel counts are used as weights to calculate the average. A time series for a single point is also supported. |
| Lon-Time (Hovmoller), Lat-averaged | This function provides a Hovmoller time vs. longitude map. For a specified area, the average daily value of the data product is displayed with longitude as the X-axis and time as the Y-axis. Pixel counts are used as weights to calculate the average. |
| Lat-Time (Hovmoller), Lon-averaged: | This function provides a Hovmoller time vs. latitude map. For a specified area, the average daily value of the data product is displayed with latitude as the X-axis and time as the Y-axis. Pixel counts are used as weights to calculate the average. |
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Equi-angular: | The linear lat/lon projection. |
| South Polar Stereo: | South Polar Stereo projection. This option will take user specified latitude range within southern hemisphere and prefix longitude range from 180W to 180E. |
| North Polar Stereo: | North Polar Stereo projection. This option will take user specified latitude range within northern hemisphere and prefix longitude range from 180W to 180E. |
| Robinson: | Robinson projection. This option will display global image in Robinson projection. |
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Pre-defined: | Uses the color palette with the pre-specified default range of assigned values. This may be a linear or logarithmic scale palette. |
| Dynamic: | Uses the minimum and maximum values of the data product in the specified area to create a linear scale color palette. |
| Customized: | Allows user specification of minimum and maximum values for the color palette. A linear scale color palette will be created based on these minimum and maximum values. |
| This pull-down menu provides resolution options for Area ASCII outputs. For a given resolution selection, the program steps through each of the possible lat/lon, lon/time or lat/time points, and sets their values to be the same of the nearest point at the original resolution. No interpolation or averaging is preformed. If you have suggestions for adding new resolution options, please contact us at help@daac.gsfc.nasa.gov. |
