AIRS IR Level 1B Calibrated, Geolocated Radiances NRT BUFR Subset

The AIRS Infrared (IR) level 1B NRT data set contains AIRS infrared calibrated and geolocated radiances in milliWatts/m**2/cm**-1/steradian. This data set is produced by the same core science algorithms as in the regular science data production, but using predicted ephemeris in place of definitive ephemeris data and possibily without using optional dynamics input; AIRIACAL for previous and next 6 minutes. The advantage of NRT data is its fast turnaround time, generally available within 3 hours of observations globally. They can be utilized in regional weather forecast campaigns. The NRT data sets stay for about 7 days from the time they are generated.

The AIRIBRAD_NRT_BUFR product is a 324-channel subset of the Near Real-Time AIRS L1B radiance product, at full spatial resolution, and output in BUFR format. More details may be found in README.AIRIBRAD_NRT_BUFR.pdf.
